Business Valuation Conference Project Team
Purpose: Plan an educational and interactive conference for CPAs in public accounting who want to enhance their position in this the field of business valuation.
Term: 6-9 months prior to conference date (conference held in October)
No. of Meetings: 3-4
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference
Location: Indiana CPA Society office or teleconference
Requirements: Experience in topic area of conference required.
CPAs in Business & Industry Conference Project Team
Purpose: Plan an educational and interactive conference for CPAs in business and industry.
Term: 6-9 months prior to conference date (conference held in June)
No. of Meetings: 3-5
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference

Cybersecurity Conference Project Team
Purpose: Plan an educational and interactive conference for CPAs who want to keep up with trends in fraud, forensics and cybersecurity
Term: 6-9 months prior to conference date (conference held in August)
No. of Meetings: 3-5
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference
Location: Indiana CPA Society office or teleconference
Requirements: Experience in topic area of conference required
Indiana Tax Conference Project Team
Purpose: Plan a one-day conference for members in tax accounting that enhances the value of attendees’ CPA designation
Term: 6-9 months prior to the conference date (conference held in November)
No. of Meetings: 6-8
Time Commitment: 7-9 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference
Location: Indiana CPA Society office or teleconference
Requirements: Experience in tax accounting
Not-for-Profit Conference Project Team
Purpose: Plan a well-rounded set of general and breakout sessions to allow CPAs to add value to the not for profit organizations they serve
Term: 6-9 months prior to conference date (conference held in July)
No. of Meetings: 3-5
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference

Small Firm Summit Project Team
Purpose:Plan an educational and interactive conference for CPAs in firms with 10 or less employees.
Term: 6-9 months prior to conference date (conference held in November)
No. of Meetings: 3-5
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours of pre- and post-conference planning, as well as attendance at the conference
Location: CPA Society office or teleconference
Requirements: Experience in topic area of conference required.
Career Awareness
Campus Presentations
Purpose: Help encourage college accounting students to consider accounting as a major and the CPA profession as a career.
Term: Aug. 1 - June 15
No. of Meetings: INCPAS gives over 20 presentations a year. Volunteers should be available for at least one.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per presentation
Location: Various
Requirements: Must be an energetic and passionate CPA or CPA candidate. You will talk about the value of the CPA designation and the importance of getting involved in the Indiana CPA Society.
Ethnic Diversity
Diversity Advisory Council
Purpose: Be a leader in creating awareness among diverse populations of career opportunities available in the CPA profession. Improve ethnic diversity within the Society and the profession within leadership and through membership and student programming.
Term: July 1-June 30
No. of Meetings: Bi-monthly or as needed
Time Commitment: 1.5 hours per meeting, including additional time on the Diversity Task Force wiki.
Location: Indiana CPA Society office
Requirements: Must be passionate creating awareness among diverse populations of career opportunities available in the CPA profession.
Government Relations
Government Relations Advisory Council
Purpose: GRAC members serve as regulatory and legislative advisors for the Society.
Term: At will of Board of Directors; appointed by Board
No. of Meetings: 3-4 per year; attendance at Board of Accountancy and other regulatory agency meetings
Time Commitment: 15-20+ hours per year
Location: Indianapolis
Tax Resource Advisory Council
Purpose: TRAC members serve as advisors to legislators, their staff and regulatory agencies related to tax.
Term: At will of Board of Directors; appointed by Board
No. of Meetings: 3-4 per year; attendance at various tax-related meetings-often during January-April
Time Commitment: 15-20+ hours per year
Location: Indianapolis
Indiana CPA-Political Action Committee Trustees
Purpose: Trustees oversee PAC fundraising and contributions to political campaigns in accordance with the laws of the state of Indiana
Term: 3 years; approved by Trustees
No. of Meetings: 1-3 per year; some fundraising involvement
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per calendar year
Location: Indianapolis
Requirements: Indiana CPA and PAC contributor; approved by Trustees
CPA Advocates
Purpose: Establish and maintain an advocacy relationship with legislators on behalf of CPAs
Term: No limit
No. of Meetings: Attend INCPAS annual legislative event during session
Time Commitment: Usually less than 4 hour per year

Committees
Ethics
Purpose: It is the mission of the Ethics Committee to promote the ethical practice of the CPA profession through educational and enforcement activities.
Term: 1 year; July 1 through June 30, appointed by the Board
No. of Meetings: 5 meetings per year
Time Commitment: One hour of preparation and two hours of meeting time for each meeting. Members will also be asked to serve on subcommittees to investigate complaints. This requires some research, collaboration with other members and preparation of investigative documents. Members will also be asked to field phone calls from INCPAS members with ethics questions and ethical complaints from the public.
Location: INCPAS office; teleconferencing is permitted
Requirements: Possess a current CPA certificate. Be a member in good standing with the Indiana CPA Society. Meet all relevant CPE requirements of the state licensing agency. Be current on all personal and business tax filings. Be in good standing with all relevant regulatory agencies. Possess at least 10 years experience in an accounting related field; some supervisory experience preferred.
Education Foundation
Purpose: The Foundation raises funds and provides financial assistance for scholarships and programs designed to encourage accounting careers and promote education-related activities.
Term: Typically 5 years
No. of Meetings: 1 annual meeting and conference calls as needed
Location: 4-6 hours per year
Requirements: Annual meeting at INCPAS office or via conference call

Innovation
Purpose: Monitor issues and trends in the profession that could create opportunity for innovation for members or INCPAS
Term: One-year term, appointed annually by the Board of Directors (re-appointment possible based on interest and need)
No. of Meetings: 2-3
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per meeting
Location: Indiana CPA Society Office
Requirements: High level of aptitude in CPA Core Competencies, innovator, strategic thinker, and an understanding of complex issues affecting the profession
Professional Development
Purpose: Provide regular, real-world knowledge to assist the INCPAS staff when determining professional development topics. Topics are aimed to address member’s wants and needs on a more timely basis.
Term: One-year term,
No. of Meetings: 4
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per year in meetings
Location: Indiana CPA Society Office, teleconference or video conference
Requirements: INCPAS Member and preferably licensed CPA
Integrated Report
Purpose:Assure the accuracy of the data in the INCPAS Integrated Report as well as its’ compliance with the framework developed by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).
Term: One-year term, appointed annually by the Board of Directors (re-appointment possible based on interest and need)
No. of Meetings: 1
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours for the meeting and some prep work outside of the meeting
Location: Indiana CPA Society Office
Requirements: Knowledge of or interest in integrated reporting.
Leadership
Champion Program
Purpose: It is the mission of an elite group of future leaders to serve as the connection between their organizations, communities and INCPAS. Champions are charged with building awareness of INCPAS and the profession, fostering engagement and cultivating a sense of community within their organization.
Term: 1 year; July 1 through June 30
No. of Meetings: One kick-off meeting on August 7 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at INCPAS
Time Commitment: Twenty hours per year. This includes monthly phone calls of 15 minutes or less, and attending at least two events or meetings annually, such as young pros, networking or other professional development events.
Requirements: Must be an INCPAS member age 35 years or younger who has their CPA license (preferably active) or is pursuing their CPA designation.
Leadership Council
Purpose: To create a pipeline of competent, next generation leaders who embrace and promote the Society and the profession within their organizations and communities.
Term: 2-year term
No. of Meetings: Three, one-day meetings held annually in the Indianapolis area
Time Commitment: 40-60 hours per term
Location: Indianapolis and around state
Requirements: Must be an Indiana CPA Society member, with an active CPA license
5 years or more experience as a licensed CPA
Demonstrated leader who is open-minded, curious and objective
A desire for continued engagement and leadership role with the Society and profession
Young Pros Leadership Academy
Purpose: To create a pipeline of competent, next generation leaders who embrace and promote the Society and the profession within their organizations and communities.
Term:2-year term

Requirements: Must be an Indiana CPA Society member, 30 years old or younger
